Gal Gadot is eager to reinvent her Hollywood image after her live-action movie, Snow White, bombed at the box office earlier this year.
“This truly is the worst-case scenario for what could have happened with this project, and it's pushing Gal into a place where she has no choice but to reinvent her Hollywood persona and rethink the kind of projects she signs up to make,” explained an insider.
Interestingly, the actress portrayed the Evil Queen alongside Rachel Zegler’s who played the lead role in the new Snow White remake.
The live-action movie, which Gal thought would bring her back on top of the A-list, failed to connect with audiences all over the world, revealed an insider to OK!
Following the failure, the Heart of Stone actress badly needs a “famous movie-maker” who can collaborate with her to update her image and “rebuild her audience” now “that her time as Wonder Woman is over and done”.
Gal, who rose to fame with her roles in Batman v Superman and Wonder Woman, is ready for her next major role.
“She's not being timid about this process – she's picking up the phone and she's chasing down projects, but everybody knows she needs a hit, and it needs to be a movie in theaters, not just streaming,” mentioned an insider.
The fact is Gal wanted to “send the message to Hollywood that people will still show up and pay good money to see her work”.
Currently, the source revealed that most studios are “sceptical” of her right now.
“It's really lit a fire under her, and she's got some big decisions ahead of her in order to turn things around,” an insider told the outlet.
