Princess Anne gives key speech at Buckingham Palace ahead of 75th birthday
King Charles' sister Princess Anne hosted special event to begin 75th birthday celebrations
Princess Anne began her life's special milestone with a meaningful event she hosted at Buckingham Palace.
The Princess Royal, who is turning 75 in August, invited hundreds of charities with whom she worked.
Being a patron of almost 400 charities, the hardest-working member of the royal family requested to gather as many of them for a heartfelt gathering at the Palace.
Hello! Magazine reported that Anne's latest move showcased what she really "cares about."
The source further said, "She didn't want to do anything for her birthday but bring her charities together to hear more about their work and how she can help them."
Princess Anne's private secretary, Colonel John Boyd shared with the guests at the Palace's ballroom that she wanted to be fully committed towards her mission of serving people, hence, she gathered officials from different organisations to laud their efforts.
Dressed in a sand-coloured skirt suit, Princess Anne also delivered a key speech to "more than 216 guests from 111 different organisations."
She said, "I'm not here because this was my choice. You very kindly asked me to become patron of your organisations, so it's an honour for me to have all of you here."
Anne stated that she finds "pleasure" in "visiting and finding out a bit more about what you do."
Zara Tindall's mother also extended gratitude towards her brother King Charles for allowing "us to use Buckingham Palace for this event." She then made a light-hearted comment, "And I need to say that."
"The responsibility and respect that you give to your own organisations, the people who work for you and your own beneficiaries, is perhaps the key to what makes you so important. Thank you very much for doing what you do," Princess Anne concluded her statement.
