Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon reunite with 'Animal' star for special project

Cocktail 2 is set to release in late 2026, with Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, and Rashmika Mandanna slated to begin shooting the upcoming sequel in August 2025.

The Teri Baaton Mai Aisa Uljhaa Jiya duo, who garnered recognition for their portrayal in a futuristic romance involving a robot, have been cast in this upcoming romantic comedy.

A source close to the development told Pinkvilla, “Cocktail 2 will go on the floors in August 2025. The movie will be shot in India and exotic locations of Europe, with a plan to wrap it around January 2026.”

The project will be directed by Homi Adajania, with Dinesh Vijan collaborating with Luv Ranjan for production.

On the professional front, the Deva actor is currently wrapping up the shoot of Vishal Bharadwaj’s Arjun Ustara/Evil.

Meanwhile, the Do Patti actress, is concluding work on Aanand L Rai’s much anticipated film Tere Ishk Mein.

Rashmika will join the sets of Cocktail 2 after completing her shoot for Thama, where she stars alongside Ayushmann Khurrana.

For the unversed, the 2012 original Cocktail, starring Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone, and Diana Penty, received widespread acclaim for its performances and music.
