Vicky Kaushal shines spotlight on 'Homebound' team's Cannes triumph
Vicky Kaushal takes pride in 'Homebound' moment at Cannes
Vicky Kaushal beamed with pride after the team of Homebound received a nine-minute standing ovation at the 78th Cannes film festival.
The Indian actor, who is also the husband of Katrina Kaif, recently gave a heartfelt shout-out to the film’s team – including Janhvi Kapoor, Ishaan Khatter, and Vishal Jethwa.
Taking to his Instagram story on Thursday, May 22, the 37-year-old star reposted a video from the festival and praised the cast in his caption.
He penned, “Shine on @neeraj.ghaywan Congratulations Team #Homebound for making us all proud at #Cannnes2025.”
The clip shared by Kaushal features director Neeraj Ghaywan reflecting on the overwhelming moment, saying, “I honestly don’t know why I cried like that. I have no recollection of what happened because as soon as we got up, there was a strange thing: that there is so much of me that I’ve put in the film. I think it was stuck in my subconscious, like the minutest thing triggered me.”
It is pertinent to mention that the Chhaava actor and Ghaywan have previously worked together on Masaan, which also premiered at Cannes a decade ago.
Homebound, directed by Neeraj Ghaywan, is produced by Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra.
For the unversed, Kaushal is currently gearing up for his upcoming project Love & War, in which he stars alongside Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor.
