Suniel Shetty recently broke his silence on the ongoing rift between his Hera Pheri co-stars, Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal.
The 63-year-old actor, who garnered recognition for his role as Shyam in the comedy-action film, sparked concern among fans with his remarks.
In an exclusive conversation with ANI, the Dhadkan star hinted at the fate of the upcoming sequel.
Speaking to the outlet, he said, “It cannot happen. 100 percent cannot happen without Paresh Rawal. It can have a 1 percent chance without me and Akshay, but 100% can’t happen without Paresh ji.”
This comes on the heels of Akshay reportedly filing a legal claim against his Hera Pheri co-star over the latter’s shocking withdrawal from the highly anticipated project.
The Sooryavanshi actor’s production house, Cape of Good Films, sent a legal notice worth ₹25 crore, citing unprofessional behaviour.
Rawal, 69, who is best known for his portrayal of Babu Rao in the Hera Pheri franchise, announced his withdrawal from the upcoming film on May 18.
During an exclusive interaction with Mid Day, the Bhagam Bhag star revealed the reason behind his sudden exit.
He said, “I know it came as a shock to many. We three make a great combination with Priyadarshanji directing us, but the fact is that I opted out because I don’t feel like a part of it.”
For the unversed, Akshay, 57, and Rawal have recently wrapped up shooting their upcoming film Bhoot Bangla.
