Aamir Khan and Rajkumar Hirani are reportedly set to join hands once again for an exciting new project, marking their reunion after an 11-year hiatus.
The PK actor, who garnered recognition for his 2014 comedy film, is preparing for another big-screen collaboration with the renowned filmmaker.
A source close to the development told Pinkvilla, “Rajkumar Hirani was toying with 3 ideas, and he has finally decided to move ahead with a subject. He discussed the same with Aamir Khan, and the actor has also loved the world that Raju is developing. The two have principally agreed on the film, with the intent to take it on floors in 2026. The yet-untitled will be Rajkumar Hirani’s next directorial after Dunki.”
The source further added, “It’s a slice-of-life film, with comedy and elements of inspiration. Aamir is kicked about the subject, as it also pushes the actor in him. The other details are kept under wraps. The film is in the forefront, and the final call will be taken post the release of Sitaare Zameen Par.”
Aamir, 60, is currently gearing up for the upcoming sequel Sitaare Zameen Par, which is scheduled for release on June 20.
For the unversed, the Dangal star is also considering a role in Lokesh Kanagaraj’s superhero project, slated for release in 2027.
