Alia Bhatt supports 'bestie' Akansha ahead of season release
Alia Bhatt is giving major “friendship goals” as she supports her bestie Akansha Ranjan Kapoor ahead of the release of her Amazon Prime series, Gram Chikitsalay.
The Gangubai Kathiawadi actress, who garnered recognition for her role in the 2022 film, gave a shout-out to Akansha’s upcoming project.
Taking to her Instagram story on Monday, Alia, re-shared the release date announcement along with an adorable caption.
The 32-year-old star penned, “Cannot wait to see bestie shine,” and tagged the Monica, O My Darling actress.
Joining in to show her support, new mom Athiya Shetty also reposted the update on her Instagram story, tagging Akansha, 31, and writing, “Can’t wait.”
This comes on the heels of Amazon Prime Video officially announcing the release date of the much-awaited series.
Sharing the news on the same platform, Amazon unveiled a new poster and wrote, “BHATKANDI jaane ke liye taiyaar ho jaiye #GramChitkitsalayOnPrime, New Series, May, 9, 2025.”
Gram Chikitsalay, starring Akansha Ranjan Kapoor, Amol Parashar, Anandeshwar Dwivedi, Akash Makhija, Garima Vikrant Singh, and Vinay Pathak, is a comedy-drama that highlights the charm of small-town life.
Meanwhile, the Darlings actress, who is married to Ranbir Kapoor since 2022, is currently filming Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War, where she stars opposite her husband.
For the unversed, the epic saga is scheduled to release in cinemas on Independence day 2026.
