Yash Raj Films has set the internet ablaze by revealing the release date of Rani Mukerji’s much-awaited project, Mardaani 3.
The Indian actress, who garnered recognition for her powerful portrayal of a police officer in the 2014 and 2019 films, is set to return to the big screen for the third installment of the franchise.
Taking to Instagram, the production house unveiled the first look of the police officer Shivani Shivaji Roy, alongside the release date of the sequel.
In the picture, the fearless cop is seen wearing a black shirt and blue jeans, paired with boots, and holding a gun.
The caption read, “The countdown begins for #Mardaani3! On Holi, good will fight evil as Shivani Shivaji Roy returns to the big screen on February 27, 2026.”
Fans were all over the post, flooding the comments section with exciting messages.
One wrote, “Shivani Shivaji Roy is back.”
Reflecting on the cop’s first look, another penned, “wonderful.”
A third gushed, “Action time.”
Rani, 47, who took a four-year hiatus, made her Bollywood comeback in Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway in 2023.
