Akshay Kumar is inviting King Charles to watch Kesari 2, highlighting reasons for a British apology.
The actor, who is set to play C Sankaran Nair in the upcoming 2025 film, shared his unfiltered thoughts on the courtroom drama at a recent press meet.
Referring to the British establishment, Akshay said he isn't demanding an apology from the government for the Jallianwala Bagh incident. Instead, he wants them to watch the film and understand the impact of their actions.
He said during the promotional event, “I grew up hearing about Jallianwala Bagh. But what shocked me most was how little our history books actually tell us.
“I’m not here to beg. Just watch the movie. The truth will speak for itself. If they really see what happened, the rest maybe even an apology will come on its own.”
In the film, the versatile actor steps into the role of Nair, against R.Madhavan, who portrays the role of a British legal team lead.
Produced by Dharma Productions, the purpose of Kesari 2 is to remember the unsung heroes of the nation.
