Salman Khan claims South Indian audiences reject Bollywood films for THIS reason
Salman Khan makes shocking admission about South Indian films
Salman Khan recently put forth his opinion on South Indian films in comparison to the Bollywood projects.
The 59-year-old actor, who is gearing up for his much-awaited film Sikandar, discussed South Indian cinema’s growing influence.
During a press meet in Mumbai, the Dabangg star said, “We accept South films here, but that hasn't happened yet. We go and watch them, but their fans don't always come to watch ours.”
Addressing the challenges Bollywood faces, Khan mentioned that while actors charge similar fees, the storyline is often not as strong.
Heaping praise on the upcoming project Ramayana, the Kick actor said that it provides an opportunity to gather audience from various industries.
In addition, the Race 3 star admitted that his projects don’t achieve the same level of success in the South and it has always been a challenge.
However, Khan pointed out that Bollywood audiences enjoy watching South Indian films, especially those starring Rajnikanth, Ram Charan, and Suriya.
Sikandar, starring the Tere Naam actor and Rashmika Mandanna, is set to release on March 30.
For the unversed, the much-anticipated film will premiere alongside the teaser of Emraan Hashmi’s upcoming project, Ground Zero.
