Alia Bhatt, Bollywood queen who has done numerous hit movies and even made her mark in Hollywood, recently offered everyone a peek into her personal life, opening up about the struggles she's faced with ADHD and anxiety.
During a quiet media meet held before her birthday, the 31-year-old actress took a moment to speak candidly about her journey with ADHD, anxiety, and how she’s learning to roll with the punches.
"I go to therapy once a week. It clears my head. I’m not someone who can meditate regularly or follow strict routines, but I’ve realised that just being aware of how I’m feeling helps a lot," Alia shared.
The Gangubai actress got real about how her emotions can sometimes run the show, especially when things get too much to handle.
Alia explained: "I get caught up sometimes; I feel my emotions physically. It’s hard to stay present in those moments, but knowing what’s happening inside me helps me get through them."
The mother of one then shared how it was like to be diagnosed with the disorder and anxiety, saying it was oddly comforting, like finally putting a name to a familiar face.
"After I got the diagnosis, it all made sense. I wasn’t just having ‘bad days.’ There was something deeper. Getting clarity made me feel less out of control."
"My body would heat up, and I’d feel restless. It wasn’t easy to focus or stay calm," she continued.
However, Alia Bhatt decided to skip medication and handle things her own way, mostly with the help of therapy.
