Chris Hemsworth’s family decide to relocate to Australia: Here’s why
Elsa Pataky gets candid about moving to Byron Bay with husband Chris Hemsworth and children
Chris Hemsworth’s wife Elsa Pataky has recently decided to relocate to Australia with her family.
While speaking to News Corp, Elsa revealed that she and Chris found Los Angeles “too restricting”.
“When you're in Los Angeles, work suffocates you,” she told the outlet.
Elsa opened up that Byron Bay was far removed from the industry chatter that has plagued the the City Of Angels.
“There, all the conversations, even the billboards you see on the street, have to do with the world of cinema and its industry,” pointed out the 48-year-old.
Elsa added, “It can make you lose perspective.”
Earlier, Chris also echoed the same sentiment like his wife in an interview with Modern Luxury back in 2020.
“I love what I do as an actor, but when you are surrounded by it constantly, it becomes a bit suffocating,” said the Thor star.
Chris further said, “It’s nice to have conversations with people and be a part of a community that doesn’t live and breathe that world.”
Comparing LA with Byron Bay, the Extraction 2 actor noted that the latter provided “a calmer environment” to raise three children.
“L.A. is a tough place to get around with children. There’s not a whole lot of foot traffic. It was all about loading up the car and car seats,” mentioned Chris.
Meanwhile, the actor added that here in Byron Bay “we just walk out the door and head to the beach down the street”.
“It’s a much more simple life,” he noted.
