Shahid Kapoor speaks about hyped reunion with ex Kareena Kapoor at IIFA

Former couple Kareena Kapoor and Shahid latest encounter has left fans crazy.

Earlier, the duo bumped into each other at the IFFA 2025 press conference which also included other celebrities including Kartik Aaryan, Kriti Sanon, Karan Johar and Madhuri Dixit.

The two were spotted sharing a warm hug with each other while exchanging smiles and having a chat on stage.

The moment captured by paparazzi has sent fans into nostalgia as they saw a rare sight after so many years.

Amidst all the hyped buzz, Shahid has also reacted to the meet up. According to him, it is normal and nothing new.

He dealt with the questions offhandedly, saying, “For us, it’s nothing new.”

“Aaj stage pe mile aur hum log idhar udhar milte rehte hai. (Today we met on stage, but we keep running into each other here and there).”

The 44-year-old said green carpet of the IIFA Digital Awards“It’s totally normal for us… if people felt nice, it’s nice."

Back in 2000s, Shahid and Kareena were the most adored couple of Bollywood both in reel and real life.

The two starred in extremely iconic movies of the time namely Jab We Met and Chup Chup Ke.

Their relationship, however, fell apart before the wrap up of Imtiaz Ali’s film.
