Sanjay Leela Bhansali celebrates birthday with heartfelt tribute
Sanjay Leela Bhansali is celebrating his birthday amidst an outpouring of wishes from all over Bollywood.
The filmmaker, renowned for his cinematic masterpieces such as Devdas and Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, originally made his OTT debut with the highly-acclaimed series Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar.
As Bhansali marks another year of his life, the stars of Heeramandi, including Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, and Aditi Rao Hydari, took to their respective social media accounts on Tuesday, February 24, to extend heartfelt greetings to the filmmaker on this special occasion.
Sharing a photo with the filmmaker, Koirala wrote in the caption, “Happy birthday dear.”
Meanwhile, Sonakshi Sinha posted a nostalgic behind-the-scenes picture from the sets of the series as she penned, “Happiest birthday dear sir (red heart emoji) @bhansaliproductions.”
Aditi Rao couldn't help but shower the 62-year-old filmmaker with warm greetings on his special day, capturing the heartwarming moment with a hug.
She wrote, “Happy happiest birthday to my dearest bestest sanjay sir. Celebrating you and your genius every day and forever. Love you sir.”
For the unversed, Heeramandi was released on Netflix on May 1, 2024, and has officially renewed for another instalment.
