Kim Sae-ron’s sudden death ignites controversy in Korean industry
Netflix star Kim Sae-ron’s sudden passing sparks outrage online
Kim Sae-ron, Netflix star who made a name in South Korean industry and won millions of hearts with her acting at such young age, left the entertainment world shocked with her sudden demise.
The Man From Nowhere actress was found dead at her home at 24, and now police are trying to find the heartbreaking reason behind her death.
The actress began her career when she was just nine-year-old and didn’t take long to earn a name for herself in the industry. However, she did hits like A Brand New Life and Bloodhounds.
Her career took a dramatic turn in 2023 when she started drunk driving. Despite publicly apologising for her acts, paying a hefty $14,000 fine, and disappearing from the industry, public’s judgment really took a toll on her mental health.
Expressing their thoughts on the actress’s death, fans shared how deeply saddened they were and criticised the harsh judgment she faced.
One user wrote: "a child actress who was mistreated by her mom and later by the whole industry taking her life after making multiple attempts to move on with her life and still faced relentless bullying from ppl who turn around and support sexual abusers, South Korea really is hell for women."
"kim saeron faced hell for her scandal but men do worse but still get movie deals, comeback stages, and public sympathy. the double standards in this industry are disgusting," shared by another one.
Meanwhile some people said that drunk driving has serious consequences.
