Kieran Culkin shares feelings on Broadway return after decade-long hiatus
Kieran Culkin is starring in 'Glengarry Glen Ross' alongside Bob Odenkirk and Bill Burr
Kieran Culkin opened up about his emotions on making big Broadway return after a decade.
In a conversation with the People Magazine about his Super Bowl ad, the Succession star admitted experiencing "nerves" ahead of his performance in a new revival of Glengarry Glen Ross written by David Mamet.
"I wonder if it's excitement," the Home Alone actor said. "What's going through my body? Yeah, there's nerves, I guess, but I'm not paying attention."
"I've just been putting it off, mentally," he added. "All I know is it is a really good, really well-written play, and as long as we don't do anything drastic to f--- it up, it should be good."
Culkin further said that he is trying not to worry about it, noting that everything he needs to be successful in the role is "already on the page."
He also shared that not only he is sticking to the script but he’s making sure that he doesn’t "misinterpret" playwright Mamet’s words or "make wild choices that just don’t fit."
"That's all, it's just not worrying and doing the work," the Oscar nominee said.
According to the official synopsis, the play follows the story of a "a cutthroat Chicago real estate office, where four salespeople compete to sell mostly worthless properties to unwitting customers."
In the limited 12-week limited run, Culkin will perform alongside Bob Odenkirk and Bill Burr, who are both making their debut.
Glengarry Glen Ross performances will begin on March 10th ahead of its March 31st opening at The Palace Theatre in New York City.
