Kevin Costner’s ex-wife Christine Baumgartner, financier Josh Connor are engaged

Christine Baumgartner, Kevin Costner’s ex-wife said yes to financier Josh Connor.

The star's ex is officially engaged to her boyfriend, nearly a year after finalizing her divorce from Kevin Costner.

According to People, Connor, 49, proposed to Baumgartner, 50, on Sunday, January 26, during a romantic evening in Santa Barbara, California. The financier got down on one knee while the couple enjoyed a secluded beachside moment, made even more intimate by the rainy weather.

Baumgartner and Connor were first linked in mid-2023 after she filed for divorce from Costner, 70, citing irreconcilable differences after nearly two decades of marriage. 

The pair initially sparked romance rumors when they were spotted together during a July 2023 trip to Hawaii. However, during her divorce proceedings, Baumgartner testified that they were just friends at the time.

During the court battle, Costner questioned Baumgartner’s financial requests and whether she had been involved in an extramarital relationship. Court documents from August 2023, obtained by Us Weekly, stated:

"Respondent has no responsive documents for ‘extramarital romantic relationships’ in which he engaged because he engaged in none."

The documents also noted that Costner "does not know for a fact if [Christine] engaged in any ‘extramarital romantic relationships’ before separation and, if so, whether she spent any of his money or charged any expenses in furtherance of her affair(s) on credit cards he paid."

Despite her initial claims that she and Connor were just friends, multiple outlets confirmed their romantic relationship in January 2024. The couple subtly went public after Baumgartner was photographed dropping Connor off at his home.

Now, with their engagement confirmed, Baumgartner and Connor are taking the next step in their relationship, marking a new chapter for the former model after her high-profile split from Costner.
