Karan Johar announces 'next big thing', netizens say 'he is opening nepo kids academy'

Ace Indian filmmaker Karan Johar has just announced a new venture and fans have mixed feelings about it.

Taking it to his social media handle, Johar dropped a small snippet containing short glimpses of all the actors who made their debuts from his popular films.

The video included Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Malhotra, Varun Dhawan, Janhvi Kapoor, Ishaan Khatter and others.

The Ae Dil Hai Mushkil director mentioned in the caption that has previously told countless stories and more are yet to come as he is coming up with a ‘new wave.’

“23 debutant directors. 8 debutant actors. Countless stories told. Countless stories yet to be told.”

“We at @dharmamovies & @dharmaticent are ready for a new chapter, a new wave.” Karan concluded adding, “Stay tuned for the next big thing.”

Fans, who already believe that Karan mostly introduces star kids, are pouring in their reactions which do not really look promising and supportive.

One of the social media users wrote: “Now he is opening Nepo kids academy.” Meanwhile, another penned: “Abb taimur ka launch hone vala hai guys with raha his heroine.”

While referring to the actors’ lot which the 52-year-old launched previously, one of the critics mentioned: “5/8 are flop already.”

Meanwhile, Karan has teased his upcoming project starring Kartik Aaryan. Film Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri is expected to release in May 2025.
