The iconic role of James Bond, one of the most coveted in the film industry, is set for a new chapter after Daniel Craig’s memorable tenure.
Craig, who portrayed the legendary spy in five films between 2006 and 2021, including Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace, Skyfall and No Time to Die, has officially stepped down, leaving fans eagerly awaiting the next 007.
The former Bond actor Pierce Brosnan has openly shared his thoughts on who should take over the role.
Brosnan, who starred in four Bond films between 1995 and 2002, GoldenEye, Tomorrow Never Dies, The World Is Not Enough, and Die Another Day, has revealed that he believes Aaron Taylor-Johnson is the perfect choice for the iconic spy.
While conversing on the The Ray D'Arcy Show, the 71-year-old stated: "He got the profile, in terms of age and experience. He's got the physical prowess, the charisma, the language. He would be terrific."
"He was the best in (The Best) it, So, yes, I read the news about his chances of being Bond, so I'd take my hat off to the mate."
However, the producers of the Bond franchise, Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, remain tight-lipped about the new casting.
