With the biggest night in music just few weeks away, many people are wondering if the 67th Annual Grammy Awards will be postponed because of the destructive wildfires that are destroying Los Angeles.

According to current plans, the Grammys will be held at Crypto.com Arena in downtown Los Angeles on Sunday, February 2. Even while it's usually a glitzy occasion to honour the biggest performers and bestselling songs from the previous year, the city currently has more important issues.

The Hollywood Reporter has heard from a number of sources that talks are in progress to either change the broadcast to a fundraiser or postpone the CBS show and all of its related festivities.

The Grammys are quite likely to be postponed, according to a senior television executive, due to the ongoing fire that was started by a wind event earlier in the week and the city's general disaster status.

What happens in the next several days will be crucial in deciding whether or not the event will go, according to another person in the music business. Harvey Mason Jr., the head of the Recording Academy, is reportedly considering several options.

A benefit event including MusiCares, the Grammys' own nonprofit dedicated to helping underprivileged music professionals, is also being planned in the days preceding the February 2 date.

AEG Presents, Live Nation and the Azoff family announced that the Intuit Dome would host an event on January 30. Broadcast partners and participating artists are currently being finalised.
