Timothée Chalamet fans react to his upcoming 'SNL' musical guest role
Timothee Chalamet will become the first non-professional musician to perform on the 'SNL' stage
Timothee Chalamet sent fans into a frenzy with his double duty on the upcoming episode of Saturday Night Live.
On Friday, January 10, SNL announced that the Dune star will return to Studio 8H to host the NBC comedy sketch for the third time. In addition, he will mark his debut as the musical guest in the January 25 episode.
Though the Wonka actor did show off his vocal talent as Willy Wonka, curious fans have been buzzing on social media, engaging in heated discussions online about what the actor would perform.
Some fans recalled an old video of him appearing as Lil Timmy Tim in a 20 Rising Stars performance in high school.
Many fans wonder if he could adopt a musical theatre persona outside of the rap genre and belt out some Willy Wonka.
However, he might also sing a Bob Dylan cover after playing the music legend in a biopic.
"Omg timothee i hope he sings statistics," one fan wrote on X, referencing Chalamet's brief rap career.
"Timothee’s going to rap?" another noted in a Reddit discussion.
"Prob will do some Dylan covers," a third suggested.
Though fans eagerly await Chalamet’s musical performance, this wouldn't be the first time he would bring out his alter ego for the SNL stage.
He previously appeared with Pete Davidson in a sketch where they dressed up as actors and performed a song called Yeet Skrt.
