Kriti Sanon says 'there are many things to change' in today's red-carpet culture
Kriti Sanon compares current red-carpet culture with the 90s era
Kriti Sanon has compared the today’s red-carpet culture with the more genuine era of 1990s.
According to the Bollywood diva, there is a lot to change in the modern glamourous culture.
Kriti says that the award shows in the 90s seemed more organic as there were only two or three events in total. But nowadays, it all appears to be for PR now.
In Ranveer Allahbadia’s podcast, the Mimi actress stated: “In the 90s, there used to be two award functions, maximum three. Now, every portal has an award function.”
“Suddenly, I have started feeling, how much does it matter? I feel it is all for PR now.”
Comparing the two eras, Sanon explained that earlier actors used to wear clothes from their homes, get ready themselves. No designer names were used; at times, “People used to sometimes walk in denim and T-shirts.”
The 34-year-old actress wishes to change this one thing. However, she also believes that there are many other things that needs to be transformed.
“If I can change one thing about today's time—there are many things to change—but one of the things would definitely be this”, concluded Kriti.
On the professional front, National Award winner was last seen in film Do Patti alongside Kajol.
