Popular Bollywood singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya has recently made shocking claims about superstar, Shah Rukh Khan.
In a candid conversation with Subhankar Mishra on his YouTube channel, the 66-year-old Indian singer opened up about the real reason for quitting playback singing and his decades-long working experience with King Khan.
During the in-depth interview, Abhijeet recalled the incident, that occurred during the awards ceremony in Dubai, after which the singer decided to only sing for the Dunki actor.
The Baadshah O Baadshah hitmaker added, "I had become choosy, and I became a little too mindful of this and decided that I will not sing for anyone else but Shah Rukh. That became a problem because many of his contemporaries called him ‘haka’ [stammered.]"
"So what happened was, there was an award ceremony in Dubai where I had won an award for Tumhe Jo Maine Dekha When I was getting down from the stage, there was one star who came forward and said, [Aye! hakle ke liye gaa raha hai na tu] You are singing for that stammered?" the singer stated.
For the unversed, Abhijeet has delivered numerous hit songs for Shah Rukh’s films including Tumne Jo Maine Dekha from Main Hoon Na, Tauba Tumhare Ishare from Chalte Chalte, Chaand Taare from Yes Boss, and Zara Sa Jhoom Loon Mein from Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jaayege.
