Timothee Chalamet and his A Complete Unknown co-star Edward Norton put their heart and soul into doing justice with their on-screen personalities.
At the Los Angeles premiere of the Bob Dylan biopic, the Dune star told Deadline that he and Norton would engage in "endless" conversations about how to honour Dylans and Pete Seegar in the film.
"The best thing is when you enjoy the raw materials of it all enough that you want to put more in it than there’s any room for," Norton explained. "I think we wanted more Bob, more Pete, more Joan [Baez] in there than you could fit into one movie."
Chalamet, 28, couldn’t agree more with his costar, adding, "That is perfectly said."
"We were like a menace to Jim because we were always trying to sneak stuff in and honour these amazing artists," the Wonka actor continued. "My favourite thing about Edward in the production of this movie and also after this is he really wanted to honour the spirit of Bob — who is alive and well — and Pete Seeger through this press."
The upcoming James Mangold-directed movie is slated to hit the theatre on December 25.
