Saoirse Ronan and Jack Lowden steal spotlight at BIFAs in glamorous style
Saoirse Ronan shimmers in navy as she shares sweet moments with Jack Lowden
Saoirse Ronan and her husband, Jack Lowden, exuded elegance and charm as they graced the 27th British Independent Film Awards in London on Sunday night.
The newlyweds, who tied the knot earlier this year, radiated happiness as they posed for photos on the red carpet. Later in the evening, Jack was spotted sweetly holding Saoirse’s arm, showcasing their undeniable bond.
She dazzled in a shimmering navy gown with a high neckline and an ethereal sheer cape that trailed gracefully behind her. The Irish starlet completed her sophisticated look with minimalist makeup, a sleek updo, and classic black heels.
The glamorous couple mingled with fellow stars, including Alicia Vikander and Ellie Bamber, making the event a true celebration of talent and style.
Saoirse Ronan and Jack Lowden, who tied the knot earlier this year in a private wedding ceremony in Edinburgh, Scotland, have quietly built a life together since they began dating in 2018.
The couple first met while filming Mary Queen of Scots and secretly wed in July after six years of dating. Fiercely protective of their relationship, she, keeps her private life largely under wraps and notably avoids social media.
In a rare glimpse into their marriage, the Oscar-nominated actress shared a humorous insight during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last month.
Saoirse revealed her longing for a "cheesy karaoke duet" with Jack but lamented his reluctance.
"I've been desperate for myself and my husband Jack to do a duet of Shallow from A Star is Born," she joked. "I want him to be my Bradley, and I'll be his Gaga. And he won't do it. I'm sort of like, well, what's marriage for? What are we doing here?"
The pair have also collaborated professionally, referring to their joint project, The Outrun, as their "baby."
In a recent interview on The Ryan Tubridy Show on Virgin Radio UK, Saoirse spoke about their teamwork and dedication to the film.
"We’ve been together a long time, and this year has been incredibly busy with work," Saoirse said.
"We produced The Outrun together, and that’s kind of our baby right now. We’re so proud and thrilled with the reception it’s gotten."
