Meghan Markle will reportedly not be supporting Prince Harry in the UK for his upcoming legal battle, according to a royal commentator on GB News.
The Duke of Sussex is scheduled to attend a trial against News Group Newspapers, publishers of The Sun, in January 2025 at London's High Court.
As with previous legal cases against British tabloids, Harry is expected to travel solo, as Meghan has not joined him on these trips before.
In fact, the Duchess of Sussex has not visited the UK since attending Queen Elizabeth II's funeral in September 2022.
Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams has weighed in on Meghan Markle's likely absence during Prince Harry's upcoming court battle, suggesting she will not accompany him to the UK.
Speaking on GB News, he explained that while the trial will be highly publicized, Meghan is unlikely to attend, citing tactical reasons.
"She did not appear at previous cases, and it wouldn’t make sense for her to do so now. This is Harry’s case, and she won’t be giving evidence," he said.
However, Fitzwilliams also noted that Meghan’s decision to skip the 2025 Invictus Games in Canada could be a sign of growing distance between the couple.
The couple has increasingly made solo public appearances, with Harry recently attending engagements related to the Games in Vancouver without Meghan, which he described as an "unusual" move.
