Indian actor Vikrant Massey, after the immense success of 12th Fail, has officially stepped away from the entertainment industry.
Earlier on December 1, Massey announced his retirement through social media leaving fans in a state of shock.
Taking it to his Instagram handle, the Haseen Dilruba actor wrote: “Hello, The last few years and beyond have been phenomenal. I thank each and every one of you for your indelible support.”
"But as I move forward, I realise it’s time to recalibrate and go back home.”
He continued: “As a Husband, Father & a Son. And also as an Actor. So, coming 2025, we would meet each other for one last time. Until time deems right.”
The 37-year-old actor stated that his last two movies will come out soon before retiring.
“Last 2 movies and many a years of memories. Thank you again. For everything and everything in between. Forever indebted."
Vikrant’s fans were not at all hoping to hear such news this soon. They expressed their grief in the comment section beneath the post.
One of the fans wrote: “Why would you that? There are hardly any actors like you. We need some good cinema."
Meanwhile another went on say: “Leaving a legendary career behind.”
Third user wrote: “We are not ready for this.”
