Abhishek Bachchan has seemingly squashed divorce speculations by publicly expressing his love for his wife, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
In a conversation with The Hindu, the 48-year-old Indian actor revealed that he is beyond grateful to his life partner for supporting him and facilitating his film career.
The Guru star expressed his gratitude towards his wife, saying, "Even in my household, I'm very lucky to be able to go out and make movies. But I know that Aishwarya is at home with Aaradhya, and I thank her immensely for that."
According to Hindustan Times, the father-of-one also praised his wife, saying the renowned Indian actress is a responsible and sacrificing mother, for which he will always be grateful.
Abhishek added, "But I don't think the children think of it that way. They don't look upon you in the third person. They look upon you in the first. You're the parent, the father, or the mother."
Abhishek's comments came after several media reports claimed the couple had parted ways.
The two initially sparked separation speculations when the Dostana actor made a solo appearance at the airport in August. Fans quickly asked about the Devdas actress' whereabouts.
In September, reports emerged about Abhishek's romance with Indian actress Nimrat Kaur. Several fans criticised the actor for allegedly being unfaithful to his wife.
Neither Abhishek nor Aishwarya commented on the accusations yet.
For the uninitiated, the couple tied the knot in 2007. The duo shares a 12-year-old daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan.
