Billy Ray reaches out to Miley Cyrus amid rumoured rift

Billy Ray Cyrus can’t live apart from his lovely daughter Miley Cyrus.

The country star posted a series of picture on his Instagram as a birthday tribute for Miley on November 23, amid a rumoured family rift. The Flowers hitmaker turned 32.

Billy shared cute photos of Miley’s childhood. In one picture, dad Ray seen holding Miley when she was a baby and a toddler.

"Happy Birthday Mile !!! Hope it’s the best one ever !" the 63-year-old wrote on Instagram. "(I know I dropped the 'y'. That’s what I called @mileycyrus most of her life.)"

Billy Ray Cyrus's emotional post included a curated selection of photos with Miley, spanning from her childhood to recent years.

The post featured a mix of personal and professional images, including snapshots from the Hannah Montana: The Movie premiere, their Glastonbury Festival performance, and Miley's Stand By You concert special.

The singer didn’t notice his dad’s tribute neither she responded his social media post. However, Miley has put "thank you all for your birthday wishes" status on her Instagram.

This post came after a rumoured feud between the dad and daughter when Malibu singer, nine months ago, didn’t name her family members during her Grammy acceptance speech held in February, 2024.

In June, Miley talked about growing up with Tish and Billy Ray and was questioned about rumoured rift.

"There's not estrangement here with your father," David Letterman said on his show My Next Guest Needs No Introduction With David Letterman, "it's just the way things are played?"

"Yeah," Miley said. "I think, what is so beautiful is that my parents, they served their children, and I know this. My parents served us and sacrificed so much for us. Anything we dreamed of, they made possible."
