Legendary actor Mukesh Khanna, well-known for his famous character as Shaktiman, recently clarified the rumours of keeping Bollywood superstar Ranveer Singh waiting for three hours.
The 66-year-old actor put an end to speculations that have been circulating online, saying he did not force the 39-year-old actor to wait.
Responding to wild rumours, Khanna shared, "He sat there for three hours because he wanted to. He came to my office and we enjoyed the time together at my office."
Praising the Singham Again actor, the real Shaktiman explained, "He’a a terrific actor with amazing acting skills. But I will decide who is going to play Shaktiman."
He went on saying, "Producers casts actors, an actor can't cast the producer. You come to my office and say 'you want to play the iconic character' that's not allowed."
Khanna, 66, further expressed that the role does not need a famous actor. He said: "You'll say that there needs to be a big name playing Shaktiman, but that’s not true. To play the role, you need to have a face for it."
The internet started buzzing with reports which suggested that Ranveer waited three hours outside Mukesh's office to get the role.
