Singham Again’s director and co-producer Rohit Shetty is making a shocking confession about showcasing Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone’s chemistry on screen.
During an exclusive interview with News18, the Race director opened up about bringing Ranveer and the Pathaan actress together on screen in Ajay Devgn’s action starrer.
He explained why he decided to go against the idea of fantasizing ‘Deepveer’ in the film, citing potential discomfort or misunderstandings as he sought to maintain a clear narrative thread.
Reflecting on Ranveer’s Simmba, the Sooryavanshi director said, "Since Ranveer was a reflection of Hanuman ji’s character, it could’ve gone seriously wrong."
Later in the interview, Rohit emphasized the incorporation of the Ramayan theme in Singham Again, referring to the emotional weight and sensitivity surrounding the topic.
The 50-year-old said since he was so worried about using Ramayan-inspired content in the film, he didn’t care for its box-office performance.
Shetty explained that the team was concerned about the audience’s reaction if something went wrong with the portrayal of Ramayan.
However, he confirmed that his almost year-long hard work paid off, as he basked in the success.
