King Charles will be officially be turning 76 on November 14th, the first he will be celebrating after announcing his cancer diagnosis.

Despite being born in November, the monarch birthday was marked on June 15, during the King’s Birthday Parade, commonly known as Trooping the Colour, held in London.

Last year, the Buckingham Palace announced that the King launched a new project to mark his milestone birthday with the Coronation Food Project.

This year, the monarch aims to extend the project as he is to open two, one in person and one virtually, Coronation Food Hubs to mark the project’s first anniversary.

The hubs will serve major distribution centres to “circulate tonnes of surplus food and aim to transform the ability of charities like FareShare and the Felix Project to support communities most in need.”

The Palace revealed that the inspiration behind King Charles’ initiative was the work he does with food waste and educating young people about food supply.

However, it is unclear if the monarch will personally be visiting the centres or if he would be accompanied by his wife.

Currently, Queen Camilla is suffering from a “viral chest infection” which also led her to skip the significant royal calendar event on Saturday, he Festival of Remembrance at Royal Albert Hall.
