Dua Lipa cancels ‘Radical Optimism’ Jakarta concert ‘due to safety issues’
Dua Lipa was slated to perform in Jakarta, Indonesia as part of ‘Radical Optimism’ tour
Dua Lipa is feeling “pain” for not being able to perform for her fans in Jakarta, Indonesia.
The Don't Start Now hitmaker expressed being saddened and “heartbroken” to break the news of cancelling her Nov. 9 show in Jakarta, Indonesia, over “security” concerns.
“I am here in your amazing country and ready to perform,” Dua wrote in a Nov. 8 Instagram Story, “but I am gutted to share that it has been determined that it is not safe for the performance to carry on due to safety issues with the staging.”
Moreover, the 29-year-old songstress, who was all ready to rock the stage at Indonesia Arena as part of her Radical Optimism tour, shared that she gets that countless fans were waiting for the concert for a long time.
“It truly pains me that we cannot perform for you all," Dua continued, "especially after such a long time since my last performance in Jakarta.”
At the end of her message the Grammy winner made sure to tell fans that they would receive refunds for the tickets they bought for the occasion.
“I love you all,” she added, “and truly can't wait to be back together in the same room with you singing and dancing our hearts out as soon as possible.”
