Kate Winslet shares 'major' health update
Kate Winslet opens up about her health journey following the release of her latest film
Kate Winslet is getting candid about feeling young again following her testosterone replacement treatment.
The 48-year-old actress, who is widely known for her role as Rose in 1997’s Titanic, recently opened up on How To Fail With Elizabeth Day podcast about rekindling her romance with longtime boyfriend.
The Hollywood icon explained her own health journey, noting, “Sometimes women have a real dip in libido because there might be stuff going on with their thyroid.”
“There could also be stuff going on with your level of testosterone.”
The Oscar-winning star continued, “A lot of people don’t know this, but women have testosterone in their body, when it runs out – like eggs – it’s gone. And once it’s gone you have to replace it, and that is something that can be done and you’ll feel se*y again … I know.”
In addition, Winslet shared insights into her health journey, revealing how hormonal imbalances have impacted her libido.
This follows the actress's recent discussion on embracing body positivity and womanhood, ahead of the release of her latest film, Lee, which hit theaters on Friday, September 13, 2024.
