Yo Yo Honey Singh has finally broken his silence to address allegations of making misogynistic music.
The Blue Eyes singer pointed out that while others continue to follow the same practice, he has always been an easy target.
During an exclusive interview with The Times of India, the 41-year-old shared his stance on having double standards when it comes to creating music.
He referenced veteran lyricist Gulzar, questioning his taste in music. He further criticized the entire music system, wondering why nobody acknowledges other singers who have been creating music for ages.
He told the outlet, “I don’t give a s*** but I think I should answer this.
"Why is Honey Singh the only one being criticized, yet you refer to him as a legend? I say it too. We're living with double standards in today's time. We're modernizing, but our thinking remains regressive."
Singh has delivered chart-topping hits in his glorious career, including Angreji Beat, Party All Night, Lungi Dance, Blue Eyes, Sunny Sunny, Chaar Botal Vodka, Aata Majhi Satakli, Yaar Naa Miley, Desi Kalakar, Blue Eyes among others.
On professional front, the singer is gearing up for the release of his documentary, which chronicles his controversial struggle.
