John Abraham looks back on remarkable career turnaround
John Abraham reveals how he turned his career around after being written off
John Abraham reflects on taking a hiatus from his career after being written off by the industry.
During an exclusive interview with Ranveer Allahbadia, John opened up about the dynamics of the industry.
The actor, who is looking forward to the release of his upcoming film Vedaa, recalled, "Before Parmanu, when I didn’t work for four years, a lot of newcomers came into the industry. I was told I’m done, I’m finished, I’m out.”
“When Parmanu was released, I didn’t even understand if I was in or out. It worked. Just keep working. Even when I was ‘free’, I never stopped working. Just work hard, people will see your honesty,” he added.
In addition, John admitted to turning things around with his directorial debut since he wasn’t satisfied with his performance in previous films.
He wanted to change the landscape of how films were made based on their plot-lines, prompting him to take the producing reins into his own hands.
The Dhoom actor reflected on his time in the industry.
He said, "The first defining point in my life was Jism, then Dhoom, and then when I became a producer.”
On professional front, John is gearing up for the release of Vedaa on Thursday, August 15.
