Mamie Laverock films emotional recovery journey after tragic fall

Mamie Laverock documents her first steps after falling five stories from the balcony.

The When Calls the Heart actress, who fell from the balcony in May this year, recently shared an update on her speedy recovery.

The 19-year-old TV star was spotted taking her first steps on her official Facebook page on Friday, August 2.

The statement read, "Thank you surgeon’s, thank you, prayers, thank you, Lord. Mamie has just taken her first steps."

In the video, the staff member could be heard instructing Laverock to move in a certain way.

They said, “So what you can do, you can even push off from the bed."

To which, Laverock said nervously, “I don’t know if I can still …It does feel really weird. It feels really weird."

Previously, she was left in a critical condition after suffering from a medical emergency.

This health update comes after the actress spent her 20th birthday in the hospital on July 8, while recovering from her wounds.

Laverock's mom Rockmann shared an update on Facebook at the time, adding, "Mamie moved onto her stomach, pushed herself up and held onto me.. at that moment we realized we could have our first hug. Thank you Rob for capturing this moment."
