Pixie Lott gears for 'scary' new chapter in music after decade-long hiatus
Pixie Lott last released her titular album 10 years ago
Pixie Lott recently shared her desire to create a “scary” album, shutting down reports of a prospective hiatus.
The 33-year-old pop star, who enjoyed a run of hit singles in the late 2000s’ with Cry Me Out and others, revealed that she has been out of the big frame since a decade.
Admitting that it’s been a longtime since she last released an album, the Mama Do singer expressed: "I can’t believe it’s been 10 years since my last album, but I’m so excited to be back doing what I love the most. I’m taking risks this time.”
"Previously, I’ve gone in the direction others have envisioned for me but nobody really ever pushed me to try the things I wanted,” Lott added.
She further admitted to “going with her heart now,” showing others sides of herself.
Pixie claimed that she always wanted to do “something with a timeless, classic sound that could be played at any point in time.”
The Boys and Girls hitmaker, who has an eight-month-old son Albert with husband Oliver Cheshire, is slated to be back on the road with her live band during summers.
For the unversed, fans will be able to enjoy the intimate show at London’s Hoxton Hall on 11 July.
