Reportedly, Shah Rukh Khan is currently shooting for the film King alongside his daughter Suhana Khan
Bollywood king Shah Rukh Khan had doubts about agreeing to star in 1998 film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.
During an interview with Radio Nasha, filmmaker Farah Khan recently shared that she "reverse engineered" why Shah Rukh was initially unsure about Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, which inspired her to create Main Hoon Na.
The Om Shanti Om director shared, “Shah Rukh ne mar mar ke Kuch Kuch Hota Hai kiya, he used to say I am too old to play this college boy and he was 30 that time!”
Faraha cleverly adjusted the script to feature only the 58-year-old actor in her college-themed movie.
Initially unsure how Shah Rukh could fit into a college setting, she carefully crafted the story backwards to show him going undercover.
Main Hoon Na marked Farah Khan's directorial debut, a project she described as her "long-time dream" upon its release in 2004.
In the same interview, the 59-year-old reminisced about how her initial vision of a short film evolved into a full-length feature.
“But while writing I kept feeling this is a bit small, and then the whole India-Pakistan, Project Milap, Raghavan (Suniel Shetty) bits kept adding and the film grew,” Farah shared.
Regarding his upcoming work, Shah Rukh is set to appear next in the film King, and reportedly shooting for it, which also stars his daughter Suhana Khan.
