Kartik Aaryan speaks out about fallout with Karan Johar over 'Dostana 2' departure

Kartik Aaryan finally addressed the rift with the Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar following his departure from Dostana 2.

During an interview with The Lallantop, The 33-year-old actor mentioned that the rumored news is now outdated and emphasized that it sounds entirely different.

He revealed, "This news is quite stale now. Many a time, there is miscommunication or something is blown out of proportion especially when something is written and it sounds completely different."

The Shehzada actor further stated that he simply wants to concentrate on his work.

He said, "I was silent when the news came about and I choose to stay silent even now. I am 100% focused on my work and when controversies of such nature happen, I stay calm about them."

"I don’t get involved a lot in them and I don’t have to prove anything to anyone by getting involved."

The feud between Kartik and Karan Johar began in 2021 amidst the high anticipation surrounding Dostana 2.

Initially the film was announced with Kartik Aaryan, Janhvi Kapoor, and Laksh Lalwani in the lead roles. 

Later, the production house announced a reconsideration of the star cast, sparking speculation of a rift between Karan and Kartik.
