Shah Rukh Khan wants to play Sania Mirza's love interest in biopic?

Shah Rukh Khan has the desire to portray the love interest of Indian former tennis player Sania Mirza.

On Wednesday, June 5, 2024, Netflix dropped the promo of the upcoming episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show, featuring Sania Mirza along with Saina Nehwal and Marry Kom.

During the fun banter, the show host Kapil Sharma reminds the 37-year-old professional tennis that the Bollywood star Shah Rukh once shared that he wants to do a biopic on Sania’s love story.

Kapil said, “In an Interview, Shah Rukh Khan sahab said, if a biopic on Sania Mirza is made, I would like to play her love interest.”

On which the ace athlete responds, “Now, I need to find a love interest first,” admitting that she is ready to go ahead with someone new in future after having a failed marriage.

At an event last year, Shah Rukh heaped praise on Sania and said that a biopic should be made on her, divulging, “It would be interesting if a movie is made on Sania. I would ask her if she would let me play her love interest. But I will produce it for sure.”

For the unversed, Sania Mirza was previously married to Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik and share a 5-year-old son with him named, Izaan.

Shoaib is now married for the third time with Pakistani actress Sana Javed.
