WhatsApp makes new change to voice calls
Meta app intends to improve, enhance user experience with addition of new updates
WhatsApp aims to change the process of voice calls in the Android version of the application.
The new update will show the user’s picture on the entire screen when there is an incoming call, according to WABetaInfo.
Other innovations have also been included in addition to the full-screen profile photo of the caller. They are as follows:
Firstly, the icons at the top permit users to minimise the call window or add participants from their contact list to the current voice chat. Secondly, the bottom panel has received an additional parameters item.
As of now, these innovations are only accessible to beta testers. With build number 2.24.12.14, users are required to download the client from Google Play in order to use them. In the coming days, the update is anticipated to be available to all users.
The Android version of WhatsApp is only affected by the changes so far. Moreover, it is not yet clear whether they will reach iOS users.
Other new features of WhatsApp include the ability to create profile photos using AI, reset the unread message counter, and hide group chats. Additionally, the layout of the Meta app for Android and iOS has also changed recently.
