Sarah Ferguson is reportedly making desperate efforts to bring Prince Andrew back into the royal fold.
Speaking to The Mirror, royal expert Tom Quinn reflected on the Duchess of York’s recent statement at Cannes Film Festival, in which she encouraged forgiveness and family unity.
When asked about her support for King Charles and Kate Middleton during their respective cancer battles, she told People: "I think family unity is key... I think the key to life is that we all support each other.
“And also forgiveness is a great thing. I think forgiveness of yourself and forgiveness of others,” added Sarah.
According to Quinn, her remarks were clearly referenced at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who are currently hostile towards royal family over alleged bad treatment.
However, the royal commentator also claimed: “[Sarah] has never stopped trying to persuade the senior royals to rehabilitate her former husband Prince Andrew,” noting: “When she talked about unity and the need for forgiveness, she no doubt also had her husband in mind.”
For the unversed, the ‘beloved’ son of the late Queen Elizabeth II was stripped off his royal titles as well as shunted from his position as working royal after his association with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein came to light in 2019.
