iPhone 17 captures minds before Apple launches iPhone 16
Why everyone's already talking about iPhone 17 before even iPhone 16 arrives?
A new leak reveals Apple’s most exciting iPhone in years.
The iPhone 16 series launch is still a few months away. But, tech gurus are already talking about a groundbreaking iPhone for 2025. A recent report says Apple is working on a much thinner iPhone model.
We had earlier talked about a slim model in the iPhone 17 lineup, but the latest report suggests something more exciting. This ultra-thin iPhone, known as D23, could be a completely new product like the iPhone X was.
The iPhone X, launched in 2017, was a big change from all previous iPhones. It started a new design trend for iPhones, with a full-screen OLED display and Face ID facial recognition.
iPhone designs haven’t changed much since the iPhone 11 series five years ago. But the D23 could introduce a new design trend for all future iPhones.
Apple recently unveiled the new iPad Pro as its thinnest product yet, only 5.1 mm thick. The report says Apple is still exploring designs for the slimmer iPhone. One idea is an aluminium body with a smaller front camera and sensor cutout.
Another idea is moving the rear cameras to the top centre of the phone’s back. The screen size will likely be between the 6.1-inch iPhone and the 6.7-inch iPhone Pro Max.
The iPhone X also introduced a big price increase to $999. With the potential for another big design change, this new slimmer iPhone will likely be much more expensive than other models in the iPhone 17 lineup.
It’ll be interesting to see how Apple positions this model. Will it just be a more expensive, slimmed-down version of the Pro Max, or will it have new features that make it unique? Will it be called the iPhone 17 Slim, or could it start a new “iPhone Ultra” series?
While 2025 may seem far away, the idea of a major iPhone redesign is exciting.
