Over a year after denying that he was making the film, Karan Johar announced Dhadak 2, starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri.
On Monday, the 52-year-old Bollywood filmmaker took to his Instagram account to share a motion poster featuring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri.
In the post, Siddhant and Triptii's characters are shown embracing each other.
Siddhant could be seen saying in a voiceover, "The dream that you have Vidhi, there is no place for me in it," on which the Animal star replies, “Then let me know Neelesh, what should I do with my feelings?”
The Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani director captioned the post, "This story is a little different because there was a king, there was a queen - their castes were different… end of story."
"Presenting Dhadak 2 starring Siddhant Chaturvedi & Triptii Dimri. Directed by Shazia Iqbal. #Dhadak2 in cinemas 22nd November 2024."
The film, directed by Shazia Iqbal, is set to release in theaters on November 22, 2024.
Last year, after rumors surfaced about Karan making Dhadak 2 with Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri, he had denied them.
He took to his Instagram and penned, “To put this on the record and for all concerned, we (Dharma Productions) are NOT making a film with the title DHADAK 2 as is being reported in various articles...”
