Shah Rukh Khan revealed that he had always dreamed of becoming a sportsman rather than an actor, but circumstances led him to give up on that ambition.

During a recent discussion with Star Sports, the 58-year-old Bollywood actor discussed his passion for sports.

The Dunki star said, “I always wanted to be a sportsman. I never wanted to be an actor, to be honest. I have always said this.”

He also revealed that he used to play as a wicketkeeper but had to abandon the position due to an injury.

Shah Rukh mentioned that he sustained the injury and couldn't afford treatment at the time.

He divulged, "But I always wanted to have something to do with sports."

On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan is gearing up for his next role in the action thriller King, helmed by Sujoy Ghosh.

Reportedly, he will be appearing alongside his daughter, Suhana Khan.

As per Pinkvilla, a source revealed, “King is Shah Rukh Khan’s passion project, and he has been meticulously working on all aspects of the project with Siddharth Anand and Sujoy Ghosh."

"They have collectively carved a very cool, full of attitude and swag character with shades of gray for SRK in King."
