Janhvi Kapoor opens up about Kartik Aaryan and Karan Johar dispute

Janhvi Kapoor addressed the rift between Kartik Aaryan and Karan Johar, breaking her silence on the matter.

During her conversation with The Lallantop, the 27-year-old actress addressed the unexpected shelving of her film Dostana 2, disclosing that it had already completed 35 days.

The Bawaal actress said, "I don’t know either. We had shot for that film for about 30 to 35 days. The shoot was going very well according to me. I don’t know why the film was shelved."

“We began shooting for that film long before Covid. And then Covid happened and there was a delay of over one-and-a-half years. Then people felt that to restart the film… I don’t know."

Talking about the alleged feud between Kartik and Karan, she divulged, “I don’t think it was that. I think work is extremely important for both of them. But whether something happened between them or not, you should ask them about it."

For the unversed, in 2021, online rumors emerged suggesting that Kartik's purported "unprofessional" behavior had led to friction with Karan, resulting in his exit from the film, which was subsequently put on hold.
