Deepika, who is expecting her first child with Ranveer, received backlash when she was spotted casting her vote, with certain online users dismissing her baby bump as "fake."
On Saturday, the 38-year-old actor shared his wife Deepika's recent photo on his Instagram stories.
In the caption, he humorously addressed trolls, stating, "Evil eye, may your face turn black," accompanied by an evil-eye emoji.
In another story, the Simmba actor affectionately referred to Deepika as his "Sunshine.”
While in another story, he praised his expectant wife, expressing, "Uff! What should I do? Shall I die?."
This follows Deepika's first public appearance since the trolling incident. She went live on her Instagram handle on Friday to discuss her range of beauty products, 82°E.
For the day, the Pathaan star wore a vibrant yellow maxi dress, showcasing her pregnancy glow and her prominent baby bump.
Meanwhile, in terms of their professional endeavors, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are set to co-star in Rohit Shetty’s upcoming film, Singham Again.
The film is set to release on August 15, 2024.
