AR Rahman stated that he doesn't "chill" with Imtiaz Ali because he doesn't drink or smoke, adding, "that never happens."
In a recent interview, the 57-year-old musical maestro discussed whether he ever took time off from work to relax and unwind with Imtiaz Ali and others.
When asked if he ever casually hangs out or goes clubbing with his friends, the Maa Tujhe Salaam singer responded, “I think there’s no chilling out because I don’t drink, I don’t smoke, so there’s no chilling. Clubbing for me is music.”
When inquired about how he spends his free time, Rahman exclaimed, "I go to Cannes! I’m not making any music. I’m just doing other things, so that’s, in a way, actually chilling out.”
During their conversation, he was also asked what Imtiaz Ali, writer Irshad Kamil, and he engage in when they're not composing music.
On which the Amar Singh Chamkila movie music composer revealed, “That never happens.”
AR Rahman is presently attending the ongoing 77th Cannes Film Festival, where he has unveiled his music documentary titled Headhunting to Beatboxing.
