Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is allegedly set to undergo surgery after attending the Cannes Film Festival 2024 with her daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan.
Aishwarya captivated attention this year with her esteemed presence at the Film Festival, but left fans concerned about the cast on her right hand.
Now a recent report from Hindustan Times alleged that the Devdas actress broke her wrist over the weekend.
As per the report, “Aishwarya broke her wrist over the weekend and thus had to get a cast on. However, she was adamant that she wants to keep her Cannes tradition going. Thus, even after the injury, she completed her professional commitments and made it to Cannes.”
The insider further mentioned that she traveled to France only after consulting specialists and her doctors, and she will soon undergo surgery on her hand.
"Her surgery is scheduled for later next week, after she returns from Cannes,” the source added.
For the unversed, Aishwarya, who was last seen in Mani Ratnam’s pan-Indian film Ponniyin Selvan, made her debut appearance at the Cannes Film Festival in 2002, dressed in a saree designed by Neeta Lulla.
